Sugar Detox Crashed And Burned Day 4

Well, I'm disappointed to report that my Sugar Detox Journey ended on Day 4. Sigh... so what now?

Well I can't say that I'm going to exactly 'begin again'. I don't believe the no tolerance of  fruits will work for me.  So my plan is to just try to eat healthy real foods, try to ditch as many processed food as possible, factor in a couple of 'cheat' days (if you want to call it that) and see what happens.

Currently the butt/ham/hip is still sore. I think I might try a walk/run tomorrow and see how it feels. I've been resting it for a week. But I'm still having tenderness so I still might not be ready to run. But I'm starting a new workout plan. I'll tell you about The Next Chapter soon. Have you ever heard of Jamie Eason's LiveFit?

  1. I wouldn't be able to go completely off sugar either. In the last year, I've made some cut backs, little by little and make different choices but you still have to enjoy the small things in life, once in a while.

  2. I went completely off sugar once (no fruit or carrots) and I was physically ill on Day 3. Sugar addiction is no joke! I'm sorry you're struggling with this too.

  3. Oh man, trying to go off sugar is something that I am struggling with on a daily basis as well. However I'm trying to get fruits and some type of peanut butter or nutella in there so I can have my sweets and fruits in one setting.

Pinrose Petal Pack Review and Giveaway - 10 Winners!

Bear with me, I know this blog is mainly about fitness, nutrition, and occasionally about being a stay-at-home mom, but I got the chance to review what I think is a pretty cool product and I wanted to share it with you. I'm not one to usually wear perfume. I have allergies, and I'm super sensitive to smells. So usually I just bypass perfume. But when I heard about Pinrose , I was intrigued. Being someone who is constantly in motion, and I know that many of you are the same way, I found this product to be very useful.  I'm talking about Pinrose, and their fragrances are in petal packs. They are perfect on-the-go packs. And on their website they have a  synesthesia   test where you basically look at a series of images and they conclude from that test what they think would be your best fragrances. I found the test very interesting. However, you were supposed to go with your gut and not think too long. On one of the images I actually changed my mind and changed...

Jogging Strollers Freedom And Fresh Air

Full Disclosure: I have partnered with Thule to #giveaway a Thule jogging stroller, but I have not been compensated in any form.  I remember when Lil Man was a baby. My only time to get in a workout was before Hubby went to work. Which meant I had to run at 5am or 6am after being up most of the night with Lil Man. You guessed it, those early morning runs just didn't happen most days. I tried. I really did, but I was exhausted. Yes, I have a treadmill which helped. But it didn't give me the freedom ( or the fresh air ) that my jogging stroller did. Pushing the stroller was hard. It became a challenge that I looked forward to overcoming. And on those days that running just wasn't going to happen, walking could. So I did. I could take Lil Man out at any time and get some exercise and fresh air. Sometimes it was all we needed to change both of our moods.

Pro Compression Marathon Socks Review & #Giveaway!

*affiliate links Full Disclosure: I received products free of charge for the purpose of providing a review. My opinions are completely my own based on my experience. If you know me, or have been following my blog for awhile, then you know that I am a firm believe in compression. Last year, I started having calf cramps, and my running buddies suggested calf sleeves. I listened and I am so very glad that I did! And honestly, I won't run without using compression. And once my run is over, I will usually 9 times out of 10 put on a pair of Pro Compression Marathon Socks for recovery. (FYI, I also love their low trainers to run in) Sshhh.. don't tell Hubby but I have an entire drawer full of Pro Compression socks. And well, I wear them everywhere - grocery shopping, preschool, you name it.
