Dot&Dot Small Packing Cubes Simplify My Life

Full Disclosure: I received products free of charge for the purpose of providing a review. My opinions are completely my own based on my experience.

I can't praise packing cubes enough. The uses are endless. And the Dot&Dot Small Packing cube is amazing. The size is perfect for so many things.

Being a runner, I use the Dot&Dot Small packing cube for my running gadgets (watches, ID, fuel, fuel belt {small one minus the bottles}, anti-chafe, lights, headband, compression sleeves  etc. I think you get the picture.). That way I can have all of my running gear together inside my bag when I'm traveling. If I'm going to an out-of-town race, this is perfect to be able to have all of my running gear, even my race outfit if it's warm weather, all in one place inside my bag. The packing cube isn't super large, so if you have several layers of clothes, it might not all fit. But it is perfect at least for all of my running gadgets /fuel to make sure that I have everything. I check it before I leave, double check it, triple check it, quadruple check it to make sure that I have everything. By having everything in one bag, in one place, I feel more confident knowing that I haven't forgotten anything. Plus it makes it super easy when I get to my destination that I can just pull out this one bag (with a handle) and have all of my gear together.

Of course it has numerous uses. Hubby can fit his belts, shoe polish, socks etc inside this packing cube.

I can put several outfits for Lil Man in the Dot&Dot small packing cube. But it's also a nice size for books, electronics, small toys, and activity books for the car. It's also small enough to stash under the seat so that I have materials ready as needed. It will also hold a small portable DVD player along with some DVDs - just sayin'.

I am more than thrilled with the Dot&Dot Small Packing Cube. It's a perfect cube for me and my family. I encourage you to check it out. Click here to view it on Amazon.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

  6. I change bags frequently and this would be great for my running items. Just this morning I packed my gear for a lunch hour workout, and at lunch time realized I forgot a shirt. And socks. Kind of necessary for a workout.

Self Care Is Not Selfish It's Necessary

It's not selfish to take care of yourself. It's not selfish to take care of yourself. It's not selfish to take care of yourself. And I'll say it just one more time in case you didn't hear me. It's not selfish to take care of yourself. I have found through experience that when I'm not taking care of myself, not only do I suffer but my family suffers. So ditch the mom guilt and take the time that you need! I have a tendency to keep pushing my needs aside until I reach a breaking point. We've had a very busy fun summer so far. However, I've struggled to get some quality ' me ' time to decompress. I'll spare you the meltdown that ensued. But the reality check that followed prompted me to take action.

Running My Life

Wow, has it really been 2 years since my last post? I suppose that I allowed life to get in the way. For any faithful blog readers, I apologize. Although, I'm not sure how many people actually read blogs anymore. I think most people use other social media platforms.  (By the way, drop by and say hi on Insta. )  But for some reason, each year when I pay for my google domain, I can't seem to let it go. As silly as it sounds, this little space is mine. And lately I've been struggling with ownership and acceptance. And my domain renewal was a not so gentle reminder that I have a voice .  Seriously, you'd think by 48 that I'd have this figured out - nope - apparently not. However, I am wise enough to know that we have a choice to allow situations to harms us or make us stronger. I'm choosing to let this mid-life quandary make me stronger. And because of this, I'm setting goals, taking charge, and reexamining priorities.  Movin' on...

When The Planner In You Must Be Flexible

In case you haven’t figured this out by now, I’m a planner. I know - shocker right?!? :) So although I love substitute teaching, it’s making the planner in me anxious. And it’s been reeking havoc on my workouts. Basically the morning of or maybe the night before, I find out if I’m working. So my day ( that I thought I had planned ) can be turned upside down in an instant. But, truthfully, isn’t that really the same with everyone?
