My First VS Sport VoxBox From Influenster Review

This is a sponsored blog post. Influenster provided me with complimentary Victoria's Secret products to test and review as part of a contest.

Talk about being excited when this was delivered. This is my very first Influenster VoxBox, and I couldn't wait to rip it open.

Inside was a Victoria's Secret Sport Incredible bra, and pair of Knockout Capri's. I couldn't wait to take these out for a run.

I've tried several different sports bras. Let's just say, I'm not flat chested and I require a bra that's going to give me a lot of support. I was extremely curious to try the Victoria's Secret Sport Incredible bra.

My first impression was that I liked that it wasn't super thin. I like to have a little cushion and contouring in the cups, otherwise I feel a little too exposed. What I wasn't prepared for was how low cut it was. Most sports bras that I wear come up a little higher on the breast.

This bra felt the same as others did in the back with coverage, but the front seemed considerably less. I can't say if that's necessarily a good thing or a bad thing because for me this bra did offer a lot of support. And I was actually surprised that I was able to run in it with minimal bounce. I did feel a little over exposed because it was so low cut, and there are certain tops that I probably won't wear it with because of that. But I would use this bra for running, and I would definitely use it at the gym.

I'll admit that I was a little skeptical about how it would work out for me. But to my surprise, I really liked it. I would make one suggestion and that would be that the straps need to be adjustable. The fit was fine, except I felt that I needed to tighten the straps just a little. But other than that, this bra gave me a good fit.

The Knockout Capri pants were awesome. The length was perfect as was the fit.

Overall, I was pleased with everything in this VS Sport VoxBox From Influenster. If you've been curious about the Victoria's Secret Sport line, I would encourage you to check them out. I know that they make several varieties of Sports bras. You can follow them on facebook or twitter to find out more about their products.

I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.

  1. I worked at VS when they launched their first sports bra line. Even though it's been years since I have had them, they have lasted and are amazing. Yeah it's a little deep cut in the breast area, but I love the way they fit and feel.

So I can't wait to set aside some money and get the new editions. Thanks for the post. BTW love the design on them.

Self Care Is Not Selfish It's Necessary

It's not selfish to take care of yourself. It's not selfish to take care of yourself. It's not selfish to take care of yourself. And I'll say it just one more time in case you didn't hear me. It's not selfish to take care of yourself. I have found through experience that when I'm not taking care of myself, not only do I suffer but my family suffers. So ditch the mom guilt and take the time that you need! I have a tendency to keep pushing my needs aside until I reach a breaking point. We've had a very busy fun summer so far. However, I've struggled to get some quality ' me ' time to decompress. I'll spare you the meltdown that ensued. But the reality check that followed prompted me to take action.

Running My Life

Wow, has it really been 2 years since my last post? I suppose that I allowed life to get in the way. For any faithful blog readers, I apologize. Although, I'm not sure how many people actually read blogs anymore. I think most people use other social media platforms.  (By the way, drop by and say hi on Insta. )  But for some reason, each year when I pay for my google domain, I can't seem to let it go. As silly as it sounds, this little space is mine. And lately I've been struggling with ownership and acceptance. And my domain renewal was a not so gentle reminder that I have a voice .  Seriously, you'd think by 48 that I'd have this figured out - nope - apparently not. However, I am wise enough to know that we have a choice to allow situations to harms us or make us stronger. I'm choosing to let this mid-life quandary make me stronger. And because of this, I'm setting goals, taking charge, and reexamining priorities.  Movin' on...

When The Planner In You Must Be Flexible

In case you haven’t figured this out by now, I’m a planner. I know - shocker right?!? :) So although I love substitute teaching, it’s making the planner in me anxious. And it’s been reeking havoc on my workouts. Basically the morning of or maybe the night before, I find out if I’m working. So my day ( that I thought I had planned ) can be turned upside down in an instant. But, truthfully, isn’t that really the same with everyone?
