Fitteroy Resistance Bands Giveaway and Review

Full Disclosure: I received products free of charge for the purpose of providing a review. My opinions are completely my own based on my experience.

As you know, I'm limited as to what I am allowed to do by Physical Therapy. And most of my exercises are hip/core exercises, and stretching. Just this last week, my PT added upper body work (that also works the core) by sitting on a swiss ball and using resistance bands.

Can we say perfect timing? I was given the opportunity to try the Fitteroy Flat Resistance Stretch Bands. They come in three different resistance strengths (Light, Medium, Heavy) and one of the best things for me is that it comes with a door anchor. AWESOME!!

I have always been a fan of resistance bands because they are so versatile. But when I first tried bands years ago, I was skeptical because honestly they don't look like much do they? I mean, it just looks like a thin piece of stretchy material. I thought What's that gonna do? Well after a few minutes, as my arms were shaking, I realized they can do a lot. :)

But this is my first experience to ever have a door anchor to be able to use with resistance bands. And it certainly did not disappoint.

This is actually one of the exercises that PT has me doing - sitting on a swiss ball, core in tight, back straight (and yeah my back is straight my shirt is just floofy) while pulling down on the bands.

I am extremely pleased with the  Fitteroy Flat Resistance Stretch Bands. I feel they make a great addition to my workout routine. And even when Physical Therapy approves me for more exercises, resistance bands will be a part of my daily routine. Physical therapy started me with using bands from day 1 - so that right there should tell you something.

And, one of you can get your own set of Fitteroy Flat Resistance Stretch Bands also! Just enter the giveaway tool below.

Giveaway is open to U.S. Residents, void where prohibited. Must be 18+. Only one entrant per household, per address. Winner is subject to eligibility verification. Winner will be contacted via email and have 48 hours to respond before a new winner is chosen.

  5. I could really use one of these resistance bands. I have problems with my shoulder and the band would help me in stretching my shoulder and building strength in it.

Self Care Is Not Selfish It's Necessary

It's not selfish to take care of yourself. It's not selfish to take care of yourself. It's not selfish to take care of yourself. And I'll say it just one more time in case you didn't hear me. It's not selfish to take care of yourself. I have found through experience that when I'm not taking care of myself, not only do I suffer but my family suffers. So ditch the mom guilt and take the time that you need! I have a tendency to keep pushing my needs aside until I reach a breaking point. We've had a very busy fun summer so far. However, I've struggled to get some quality ' me ' time to decompress. I'll spare you the meltdown that ensued. But the reality check that followed prompted me to take action.

Running My Life

Wow, has it really been 2 years since my last post? I suppose that I allowed life to get in the way. For any faithful blog readers, I apologize. Although, I'm not sure how many people actually read blogs anymore. I think most people use other social media platforms.  (By the way, drop by and say hi on Insta. )  But for some reason, each year when I pay for my google domain, I can't seem to let it go. As silly as it sounds, this little space is mine. And lately I've been struggling with ownership and acceptance. And my domain renewal was a not so gentle reminder that I have a voice .  Seriously, you'd think by 48 that I'd have this figured out - nope - apparently not. However, I am wise enough to know that we have a choice to allow situations to harms us or make us stronger. I'm choosing to let this mid-life quandary make me stronger. And because of this, I'm setting goals, taking charge, and reexamining priorities.  Movin' on...

When The Planner In You Must Be Flexible

In case you haven’t figured this out by now, I’m a planner. I know - shocker right?!? :) So although I love substitute teaching, it’s making the planner in me anxious. And it’s been reeking havoc on my workouts. Basically the morning of or maybe the night before, I find out if I’m working. So my day ( that I thought I had planned ) can be turned upside down in an instant. But, truthfully, isn’t that really the same with everyone?
