4:30am was early (again) this morning. And it was cold. But this 6 mile run today was exactly what I needed. It was a nice comfortable pace. My legs were a little sore from the long run on Sunday in addition to the crosstraining yesterday, but overall if felt pretty good. My breathing was better. And I was able to pick it up for the last mile.
My stomach hated me, but it often does. But other than needing to make a pit stop, I could have kept going once the run was over. I haven't felt this good about a run since I got sick. So it was nice to have a run that left me feeling more confident than nervous.
I'm thinking Thursday's run will be 8, and Sunday's run will be 17.
But we'll see how things are feeling after Thursday's run.
Wow, that really is an early run. And here's me thinking I'm an early bird because I do the school run, running around 8 in the morning.
ReplyDeleteYes, most of my runs are very early. I usually have to get them in before my husband goes to work. So I get home about the time my husband and son are up and eating breakfast.
