It's been a little while since I've written anything. I've been struggling mentally with my runs. I've been giving up and just walking. This last week though I had a good 3 mile run - nice pace and I didn't stop. This weekend I had a nice 6 mile hilly run. I took water and walked a little more on the last mile than I had wanted to, but I was pleased with myself for the run. I walked not because I mentally quit but because physically I knew that I needed a break. My heart rate was very high and I was having difficulty breathing. I could feel myself starting to wheeze. Today I went for a short 2 mile run. It was extremely hot and humid in addition to an Air Quality alert. But I got a nice short run.
Tomorrow we are under a heat advisory. I'm thinking my cardio tomorrow will be swimming!

Congratulations on running. Yes, today is suppose to be very very hot and humid. Today happens to be my rest day from yesterday's long run, so no worrying about melting out there today. Have fun with your swimming. Sounds like something in order with the heat.
