The weather was much cooler than my last race. It was also windy, especially on the bridge and by the river. I wasn't sure how I'd do since my last few runs have been so difficult. I knew though when I first started running that this would be a decent run. As usual, I lagged in the middle, but I was able to recover a little time near the end. I didn't PR, but this was my second best time. I came in 87/238 with a time of 27:16. I'm pleased with myself.
HG went and took some great pictures. My mile splits were: @ Mile 1 ~ 8:13, Mile 2 ~ 9:30, Mile 3 ~ 8:59, Mile 3.1 ~ 7:09.
I'm glad that I ran today. And I'm glad HG was there with me.
This is me pushing through at the end. I was determined to push it on through even though I was struggling with my breathing.
Great job. I have yet to break 30 min. in a 5k so 27 is amazing in my book. :)
