My Thoughts On The Rad Dog Release N Run Leash

Image
Disclosure of Material Connection: I received a Release N Run Leash for free from Rad Dog in consideration for a gear review. All opinions are mine and honest in nature

If you've been anywhere near me, then you know that Miles is a huge part of our lives. If you haven't met Miles, here is a picture of him when he was just a baby pup. Miles is a Mountain Cur.

Now, he will be 2 in December, and he's still just as adorable. He thinks he's a huge lap dog. He loves to lay on the back of the couch. It's ridiculous, but we love him.

He is my running buddy, but he's also Hubby's hunting dog. This means that he's outside a lot. When I run with him, he's usually on a leash. When he's with Hubby, he's usually off leash once they are in a safe place away from traffic. Hubby uses a tracking collar, but he needs a leash when they get near roads, or when he needs to make sure that he stays out of certain areas.

Wading In Clarks Creek - Our #Snackation

This post has been sponsored by The J.M. Smucker Company. All opinions are completely my own. #Snackation

In case you missed it, Lil Man and I went to Walmart to prepare for our #Snackation. You can read about it here.

As I was out running on the Appalachian Trail, I came across a great spot to take Lil Man wading. I thought it would make for a super fun outing since our summer is winding down. Can you believe that it's almost over? It feels like this Summer just flew by. So like so many others that I know, I'm trying to pack as much as possible in these next few weeks.

It often leaves me with the dishes undone, laundry left in piles, and my kitchen floor sticky. The last thing that I need is added stress in preparing for our adventure. I prefer our adventures to be fun and as stress free as possible. Don't we all?  But as you know, Lil Man and I won't leave the house without our snacks. So that does require some preparation.

Thankfully, with our recent trip to Walmart, packing our lunch was a breeze.

Our picnic spot wasn't far from home. In a matter of minutes, we were sitting by the creek listening to the water gurgling, and birds chirping in the trees. I can't believe that we haven't done this all summer. It was a perfect setting.

Our lunch was great also. The Smucker's Uncrustables were as simple as grabbing them out of the freezer (make sure you allow enough time to thaw). Tada, we had our sandwich. The Jiff To Go Dippers were my favorite. (I may or may not have licked every last bit of peanut butter out of the container ;)  And the apple cinnamon Smucker's Fruit Fulls were also a nice touch.

After our relaxing lunch, it was time to check out the water.

COLD! COLD! COLD!

The water was freezing. I could only stay in for a minute, but Lil Man was having a blast with the cold water.

It felt like an ice bath which gave me an idea. This would be a nice place to soak my feet and legs for a moment after coming off of the Appalachian Trail. It would be like a mini-ice bath before heading home.

I do believe that Lil Man and I will be having many more wading experiences in our future. We loved our #Snackation.
