What Being Injured Is Giving Me

*This post contains affiliate links.*
I have to say that one thing being injured can give you is a lot of time to think. Sometimes this is a good thing - sometimes not so much. This year has been a tough one for me when it comes to injuries. The 5 month and counting hip injury really put a damper on my fitness goals this year. Then I got staph as soon as I was cleared to run. That set me back. Then the hip got super angry again, and now this (When Life Throws You A Curveball)

It's July ya'll, and I have only had a few weeks here and there this year of running consistently. It's been my worst year to date to deal with such issues. And mentally I was finally ready to run races. I had registered for both the Harrisburg and Hershey half this year. Well, we all know that's not going to happen. I'm still hobbling around in a boot. Thankfully, I was able to transfer those bibs through the registration system.

But, lately I couldn't help but wonder where does this leav…

Strengthen Your Core With Pilates For Dancers DVD

I have been compensated in the form of a gift card/money/coupon and/or received the product/service at a reduced price or for free. All opinions expressed are mine and honest in nature.

I've had several running injuries throughout the years, and most of them have been related to my lack of core strength. And I will be the first to tell you that I pretty much hate working my core.

But I know the importance of having a strong core, so I'm trying to make core work a staple in my routine. And Pilates for Dancers is one or the most comprehensive step by step Pilates DVDs that I have ever seen.

If you were looking for a fast-paced rush and get it done Pilates workout, this DVD is not for you. Instead this DVD is a step by step methodical, instructional, absolutely awesome demonstration, controlled work out. I am by no means an expert on Pilates. But I do know that with most exercises I have a tendency to rush the poses to pretty much just hurry up and get it done. It's my nature. It's my personality. It's just who I am which is probably why I truly do not enjoy strength training and ab work.

But the Pilates For Dancers DVD is filled with controlled Pilates movements. I could not rush through the movements. I learned correct positioning and how to control each motion. Even Lil Man got in on the action. Because the instructions were told step-by-step, he too was able to follow along and do some Pilates with me this morning.

I would consider the Pilates For Dancers DVD to be a comprehensive Pilates workout if you watch it from start to finish.

This DVD also has scene selection so you can choose certain exercises if you don't want to do the entire DVD. Overall I am extremely pleased with the Pilates For Dancers DVD.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
