Embracing The Changes In Life

Someone recently asked me about my running and how I currently feel about it. True, I'm not running 5 days per week as I have in the past. I'm not even running my usual 3. I think my new norm for awhile (maybe forever) might be 2 days a week.

How do I feel about it? I feel liberated. I feel like stepping outside of the model of runner to something bigger. Because I've said it before, and I will say it again, I am more than just a runner.
As I grow older with my family, I realize that life is constantly changing. I am constantly changing. And learning to embrace the change definitely makes for an easier transition. For probably the first time in my life, I am

NeoCell Collagen Sport Ultimate Recovery Product Review

Full Disclosure: I received products free of charge for the purpose of providing a review. My opinions are completely my own based on my experience.

I know that some of you use supplements - some of you don't. I'm on the fence. Sometimes I do. Sometimes I don't. I'm not real opinionated about either view. I guess you could say that I have the take it or leave it approach as I have used supplements and other times haven't.

I'm talking about protein powder or recovery drinks. I had the opportunity to try the NeoCell Collagen Sport Ultimate Recovery.

Although  these statements have been not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration, NeoCell Collagen Sports Ultimate Recovery claims that the collagen reorganizes new collagen fibers and helps build connective tissue while strengthening the extra-cellular matrix. To my knowledge, the other protein supplements that I have tried have not contained a collagen supplement.

This protein powder also contains iron. So keep that in mind and make sure you keep it out of the reach of children. For 123 calories per scoop, the NeoCell Collagen Sports Ultimate Recovery packs a powerful 30 grams of protein. It also has vitamins A,D, C, and B in various quantities.

So what did I think? It mixes well so that was a plus. It wasn't gritty which was nice. However, I have to admit I didn't really like the taste. I tried it in yogurt. I tried it in water. I tried it in milk. And no matter what I mixed it in or mixed with it, I wasn't a huge fan of the taste. But, to be truthful, there are very few protein supplements that I actually like the taste. So I can't judge this product on taste alone.

I like the fact that it contains more than 'just protein'. And I feel that the NeoCell Collagen Sports Ultimate Recovery is a good recovery supplement. I will continue to use it for recovery and for the occasional meal replacement after a run.
