My Life As A Brand Ambassador

I thought I'd give a brief explanation as to what a Brand Ambassador is and why I am one. I'm sure that most you know that I am a Brand Ambassador. But I know a lot of you give me the deer in the headlights look because you don't really know what that means. :) So here is what a being a brand ambassador means to me.

Keeping My Sanity Through Sickness And The Holidays With Exercise

This post contains affiliate links. Well, when the stomach bug hits it's stop drop and clean up the puke. Lil Man has had it bad. I mean bad. I had to take him to the ER this week because he literally couldn't keep anything in. He's missed school. I've missed work, and everything has just been put on hold. Talk about holiday stress! At one point I touched my forehead to feel something only to find out that it was dried vomit. And no, not my own. I kid you not peeps, it's been a rough week! Thankfully, I had already finished my Christmas shopping. I just need a few last minute things ( wrapping paper for the big guy ), and some odds and ends. But if that doesn't happen, then you know, it is what it is. I haven't left the house in 5 days other than to take Lil Man to the ER or to the doctor. So today, I told Hubby that I just had to get outside to get some fresh air and clear my lungs of the stench of sickness. So I grabbed

Give The Gift Of Time With Jord

Full Disclosure: I have been compensated in the form of a gift card/money/coupon and/or received the product/service at a reduced price or for free. All opinions expressed are mine and honest in nature. Wood Watches For Men Beautiful and stunning… those are the words that popped into my head when I opened the box. Truly breathtaking, and honestly I usually don’t get this excited over something unless it’s some running or fitness gadget. But Jord took my breath away with their wooden watches. . If you’ve never heard of Jord before, they are known for their 100% natural, hand-finished authentic wood watches. Jord watches come in various styles and colors. From battery to hand wound, there is truly something for everyone. And if you are looking for an awesome way to present and store your watch, Jord does that too. Can you imagine giving this to someone as a gift? The presentation alone in my opinion is a gift. But the beautiful watch inside will definitely bring smiles. ...

Using The Peloton App Without A Peloton Bike

This posts contains affiliate links. I had told Hubby that I wanted a bike trainer for Blue Thunder. But the more I researched, and with my limited knowledge, I was afraid to purchase a trainer. I had read that a lot of them could be really loud. And Blue Thunder is a mountain bike with super large tires. So, I shifted gears and started looking at spin bikes. Yep. An amazon sale later, and Red Lightning started her journey home. And let me tell you, it was an eventful journey. I was told that my 106lb package was out for delivery. Fast forward 3 days

Conquering My Goals With Commit30

This post may contain affiliate links.  I decided to take up journaling again to help me stay focused on my goals. I've been using a fitness journal that I really like, and I plan to continue to use it. But I came across the Commit30 journals. And there was something about the idea of doing something ( small changes to create big results ) for 30 days that really appealed to me. I like how each day there was a goal/purpose to help me obtain the overall 30 day goal. It's not an all or nothing approach. I see it as a daily intention kind of thing. However, I am struggling with my monthly goals for the year. The Commit30 journal has you plan out your goals and vision yourself a year from now. Yeah,

You Don't Want To Miss This Noxgear Giveaway

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Noxgear . All opinions expressed are my own and honest in nature. Use code AMYGLASS and save 35%.  Whether you workout before work or after work, chances are if you workout outside you'll be working out in the darkness or very dim light. And one of my major pet peeves is to see runners or walkers or cyclists or really anyone out and about who doesn't make sure that they can be seen. Because the majority of my workouts are before Hubby goes to work, and usually I'm solo, safety has always been a priority for me. And when I say that I won't run outside in the dark / low light/ fog without my Noxgear , I'm serious. If you aren't sure what Noxgear is check out this video.

What Happened When I Returned To The Trail

Please Note: This post may contain affiliate links, which means I receive a commission if you make a purchase using the affiliate link. Ok, I've been keeping a secret. Ever since I got injured this past summer (When Life Throws You A Curve Ball)   and I got my diagnosis of arthritis, I've been afraid to get back on the trail to run. I've hiked, but I've been afraid to run. Hills plus rocks plus harsh terrain doesn't play nice with my arthritic feet. So I've put if off because I really didn't know what to expect. But I've missed the trail. I've missed the feeling of running through the woods, the sound of leaves and frozen ground crunching under my feet, the roots, the rocks, the obstacles...  I've missed it all. I decided it was time.
