Wood Watches For Men

Beautiful and stunning… those are the words that popped into my head when I opened the box. Truly breathtaking, and honestly I usually don’t get this excited over something unless it’s some running or fitness gadget. But Jord took my breath away with their wooden watches. .

If you’ve never heard of Jord before, they are known for their 100% natural, hand-finished authentic wood watches. Jord watches come in various styles and colors. From battery to hand wound, there is truly something for everyone. And if you are looking for an awesome way to present and store your watch, Jord does that too. Can you imagine giving this to someone as a gift?

The presentation alone in my opinion is a gift. But the beautiful watch inside will definitely bring smiles.

Running On The Wall Always Earned Never Given

Where does the time go? Seriously, this holiday weekend just flew by - Lil Man and I enjoyed Hubby being home with us for an extended weekend.

I also enjoyed some much needed time on the trail before the PA opening day of deer season this week. I'll stay out off the trails this week for safety and in fairness for the hunters. I will miss it though.

But, last week I completed my Running On The Wall Always Earned Never Given virtual race.

Relationships Are Like Muscles

Image
To increase or even maintain muscle mass, one must work or exercise the muscle. True? If you take someone who who is very fit and toned and that individual stops working those muscles, in time, that individual will lose muscle mass. Correct?

Well, the same thing can happen in relationships - marital - dating - friendships - family and so on. When you stop working, well, things begin to fade.

And sometimes I think we get stuck in 'maintenance' mode. Do you feel me? We do enough 'just to get by' but not enough to encourage growth in our relationships.

Thinking Ahead to 2016

I've debated whether to put this out there - because once I say it out loud - well it's so official. And honestly, I've really struggled with my self confidence in running for over a year now. It's no secret that I've struggled, but I don't think many people really know just how much of a struggle it's been.

I've never been 'in this place' with running where I have zero confidence in myself. My nagging hamstring injury is still there. I've found that it really doesn't like speed, and when I attempt to run faster, I pay for it in the long run. But if I listen to my body and rest as needed, modify as needed, I am able to run - and I have been - it's just at times sporadic.

But as I got back on the trail a couple of weeks ago, the excitement of the unknown, the thrill of nature, and the views really just gave my heart a nice happy sigh.

And I realized....

Energems - Chocolate Energy

Yawn... anyone else feeling me? With this time change, Lil Man has been up at 5am or before most days this week. Did I mention the first day that the time changed, Lil Man was up at 3am! On those days I was just dragging.. until... I enjoyed some delicious Energems! These little gems are amazing. Not only do they taste awesome, but I get that boost of energy that I need.

I know you are asking - what exactly are these things?

Still Workin' On My Night Moves

It's that time of the year... if I want to run before Hubby goes to work - it's dark. If I want to run after hubby gets home  - it's dark.  I can use the treadmill, but well.. we all know that the treadmill isn't called the dreadmill for no reason.

So, that leaves me working on my night moves. If you remember from last year (Workin' on my Night Moves - Fear Of The Dark)  I began running solo in the dark.

It is still a work in progress. I am not afraid to run in the dark with friends, but running alone in the dark still takes a pep talk to get me out the door.

But I have had several people ask me about my vest and my lights that I use when running in the dark.
