Finding The Right Bra #Giveaway

Full Disclosure: I received products free of charge for the purpose of providing a review. My opinions are completely my own based on my experience

It's no secret that I am .. umm... shall we say a little blessed in the chest area. In the past I have worn two sports bras at once to try to help minimize the bounce, the pain, and just hold the girls in place.

Then one day I said enough is enough and started the search for a 'good' sports bra. I found a couple that I liked 'ok', and they got me through marathon training the last couple of years. But like most women, many of us are wearing the wrong size bra or just the wrong style.

It was like taking a stab in the dark as to what to try to see what worked. I wish I'd stumbled upon Title Nine a couple of years ago. The have a Bra Genie. Yep, you read that right. You should check it out. After answering a few questions, it gives you some suggestions on which bra to choose.

Once you think you know which bra, then you need to know your size. Title Nine offers in-store bra fittings. Or, if you are like me and don't live near a store, you can get a fitting over the phone (which is what I did).

I have to say that I was blown away by the knowledge of the person who helped me. Not only was she able to help me find my correct size, but she was very knowledgeable about their products. She was able to answer every question that I had and made recommendations as to which bra to choose. Her first choice (the Trade-up) bra I was skeptical about because I preferred a little thicker material. So we settled on the 7 Wonders bra.

It shipped quick. It arrived quick. I tried it out quick. The day after I received it, I took it out for a 4 mile run. The coverage was great. The quality seemed great. It held everything in place, but it rubbed a raw spot at the top of my cleavage. I debated about returning it or just putting on some glide in that area and just keeping it. Truthfully, I really didn't want the 'hassle' of having to return anything.

But, I decided to return it. I knew that it just didn't work for me. I emailed the company, and before the day was over, I received a phone call. With my invoice was a return label. All I had to do was slap the label on the package and stick it in the mailbox. (Be advised you do have to pay return shipping).

Once again, I was very impressed with Title Nine's customer service. Within minutes, my exchange was taken care of and a new bra would be sent to me. This was one of the most hassle-free returns that I have ever done.

This time, I went with the Bra Specialist's first choice of the Trade-Up Bra. In fact, she personally uses this bra and was able to suggest a larger band size for comfort. I listened to her recommendation, and I'm so so glad that I did.

I love love love love love it. I tested it out this past weekend on a 5 mile run, and I can't say enough good things about it. (It did take about 5 times trying it on to get the correct fit with the straps. This isn't a bra that you can self adjust while wearing. However, once you have the correct set up, then you are ready to go for the next time you wear it). I liked the bra from the beginning that I put it in. But I was TOTALLY in love when I realized that you can unhook it from the top for easy removal after a run.

I can't tell you how many times that I've actually been 'stuck' in my sports bra. Those things are not easy to remove once you are all sweaty! But the Trade-Up Bra has an awesome design. It worked great on my run. I will have to get used to a little less material in the front, but otherwise I'm more than pleased.

I would have probably never chosen this bra on my own, and I am so glad that Title Nine was able to help me.

Because I am so impressed with Title Nine, I would love for one of you to get to experience their exceptional service also. I'm giving away a free bra fitting (either in store and over the phone) and a free bra from Title Nine. Simple enter the giveaway tools below.

Giveaway is open to U.S. Residents, void where prohibited. Must be 18+. Only one entrant per household, per address. Winner is subject to eligibility verification. Winner will be contacted via email and have 48 hours to respond before a new winner is chosen.

Self Care Is Not Selfish It's Necessary

It's not selfish to take care of yourself. It's not selfish to take care of yourself. It's not selfish to take care of yourself. And I'll say it just one more time in case you didn't hear me. It's not selfish to take care of yourself. I have found through experience that when I'm not taking care of myself, not only do I suffer but my family suffers. So ditch the mom guilt and take the time that you need! I have a tendency to keep pushing my needs aside until I reach a breaking point. We've had a very busy fun summer so far. However, I've struggled to get some quality ' me ' time to decompress. I'll spare you the meltdown that ensued. But the reality check that followed prompted me to take action.

Running My Life

Wow, has it really been 2 years since my last post? I suppose that I allowed life to get in the way. For any faithful blog readers, I apologize. Although, I'm not sure how many people actually read blogs anymore. I think most people use other social media platforms.  (By the way, drop by and say hi on Insta. )  But for some reason, each year when I pay for my google domain, I can't seem to let it go. As silly as it sounds, this little space is mine. And lately I've been struggling with ownership and acceptance. And my domain renewal was a not so gentle reminder that I have a voice .  Seriously, you'd think by 48 that I'd have this figured out - nope - apparently not. However, I am wise enough to know that we have a choice to allow situations to harms us or make us stronger. I'm choosing to let this mid-life quandary make me stronger. And because of this, I'm setting goals, taking charge, and reexamining priorities.  Movin' on...

When The Planner In You Must Be Flexible

In case you haven’t figured this out by now, I’m a planner. I know - shocker right?!? :) So although I love substitute teaching, it’s making the planner in me anxious. And it’s been reeking havoc on my workouts. Basically the morning of or maybe the night before, I find out if I’m working. So my day ( that I thought I had planned ) can be turned upside down in an instant. But, truthfully, isn’t that really the same with everyone?
