Embracing The Changes In Life

Someone recently asked me about my running and how I currently feel about it. True, I'm not running 5 days per week as I have in the past. I'm not even running my usual 3. I think my new norm for awhile (maybe forever) might be 2 days a week.

How do I feel about it? I feel liberated. I feel like stepping outside of the model of runner to something bigger. Because I've said it before, and I will say it again, I am more than just a runner.
As I grow older with my family, I realize that life is constantly changing. I am constantly changing. And learning to embrace the change definitely makes for an easier transition. For probably the first time in my life, I am

Our #Snackation Adventure Awaits

This post has been sponsored by The J.M. Smucker Company. All opinions are completely my own. #Snackation

Lil Man and I are never far from a snack bag. We are huge snackers, and we take snacks with us everywhere. Hubby found that out the hard way when Lil Man was a young toddler, and he didn't pack snacks for an outing. With that lesson learned, we truly don't leave the house without a snack of some kind.

Our summer has been filled with outdoor picnics on the deck, the backyard, the playground, the pool, and the local amusement park. And because we are always on the go go go, I prefer to have snacks that are nutritious as well as easy to pack and carry.

Our local Walmart makes a great #Snackation destination. With school just around the corner, Lil Man and I are packing in as many fun summer adventures as we can. We went to our local Walmart to scope out some great snacks for our upcoming adventure.

With so many choices, the hardest part was choosing what we wanted, but we finally settled on Smucker's Fruit Fulls, Jiff To Go Dippers, and Smucker's Uncrustables.

Apparently we needed a snack after shopping since we took a little snack break in the car before going home. :)

But we are prepared for our next adventure! As I was recently hiking, I found a really great spot to have a picnic and wade in a local creek. I think this will be something that Lil Man and I will truly enjoy.

Stay tuned ... he's never been wading before ... I'm curious to see how he likes it.
