MuvePro - Be Seen - Reflective Outdoor Gear Giveaway

Full Disclosure: I received products free of charge for the purpose of providing a review. My opinions are completely my own based on my experience.

I am known as the... umm... Queen of Neon. Most of my clothes are very bright neon, and usually mismatched. Because, honestly, I run usually early morning in low light, and I want to make sure that drivers can see me. I do have a light up vest, but I also wanted a vest that I could use when I didn't need to be lit up like a Christmas tree.

Let me show you the MuvePro Reflective Vest (psst - it also comes with ankle bands)

(Hubby snapped this pic real quick before I went out for my run.)

I know this is about the vest, but I also feel that the ankle bands are equally important. As you can see, my top half is quite bright, yet my pants are usually black. (Although there are neon slits in the back of the calves). But with the reflective ankle bands, as my legs are moving, oncoming cars (and those behind me) should be able to see me easily. Note: They were easy to adjust and stayed put. I forgot I was wearing them - and for me that's how I know that they work for me because I can't stand to have to constantly adjust equipment.

The Vest: I loved that I could either slip it over my head, or use the buckle and unbuckle it. It was easy to adjust with the straps. I could make it tighter or looser mid run (although I didn't need to). It didn't move about, and yep, I forgot I was wearing it. It seems highly reflective. And I believe this will be my go to Vest when I'm not wearing my vest that lights up. Another bonus about this vest is that it doesn't use batteries, and it folds up flat so that I can easily toss it in my bag.

Today's run was another cold one with a real feel of 2. And my path in places was all ice.

But I got in some beautiful views. This is the frozen Susquehanna River that I saw along my route.

With more snow on the way, I wanted to get in my first 6 miles (post during injury recovery). I
was keeping a pretty good pace (just below 10mm) but the ice slowed me down, and then the hills got me at the end. But another run in the books.

And, because I see TOO MANY runners out there without reflective gear, I would like to give one of you your very own MuvePro Reflective Vest and Ankle Bands.  Simple enter the giveaway tools below.

Giveaway is open to U.S. Residents, void where prohibited. Must be 18+. Only one entrant per household, per address. Winner is subject to eligibility verification. Winner will be contacted via email and have 48 hours to respond before a new winner is chosen.

Self Care Is Not Selfish It's Necessary

It's not selfish to take care of yourself. It's not selfish to take care of yourself. It's not selfish to take care of yourself. And I'll say it just one more time in case you didn't hear me. It's not selfish to take care of yourself. I have found through experience that when I'm not taking care of myself, not only do I suffer but my family suffers. So ditch the mom guilt and take the time that you need! I have a tendency to keep pushing my needs aside until I reach a breaking point. We've had a very busy fun summer so far. However, I've struggled to get some quality ' me ' time to decompress. I'll spare you the meltdown that ensued. But the reality check that followed prompted me to take action.

Running My Life

Wow, has it really been 2 years since my last post? I suppose that I allowed life to get in the way. For any faithful blog readers, I apologize. Although, I'm not sure how many people actually read blogs anymore. I think most people use other social media platforms.  (By the way, drop by and say hi on Insta. )  But for some reason, each year when I pay for my google domain, I can't seem to let it go. As silly as it sounds, this little space is mine. And lately I've been struggling with ownership and acceptance. And my domain renewal was a not so gentle reminder that I have a voice .  Seriously, you'd think by 48 that I'd have this figured out - nope - apparently not. However, I am wise enough to know that we have a choice to allow situations to harms us or make us stronger. I'm choosing to let this mid-life quandary make me stronger. And because of this, I'm setting goals, taking charge, and reexamining priorities.  Movin' on...

When The Planner In You Must Be Flexible

In case you haven’t figured this out by now, I’m a planner. I know - shocker right?!? :) So although I love substitute teaching, it’s making the planner in me anxious. And it’s been reeking havoc on my workouts. Basically the morning of or maybe the night before, I find out if I’m working. So my day ( that I thought I had planned ) can be turned upside down in an instant. But, truthfully, isn’t that really the same with everyone?
