Embracing The Changes In Life

Image
Someone recently asked me about my running and how I currently feel about it. True, I'm not running 5 days per week as I have in the past. I'm not even running my usual 3. I think my new norm for awhile (maybe forever) might be 2 days a week.

How do I feel about it? I feel liberated. I feel like stepping outside of the model of runner to something bigger. Because I've said it before, and I will say it again, I am more than just a runner.
As I grow older with my family, I realize that life is constantly changing. I am constantly changing. And learning to embrace the change definitely makes for an easier transition. For probably the first time in my life, I am

Aurorae Impressions Illuminate Your Life Yoga Mat

Full Disclosure: I received products free of charge for the purpose of providing a review. My opinions are completely my own based on my experience.

As you know, I'm currently injured (The Post I Didn't Want To Write - Physical Therapy Happened). So for 2 weeks, I'm only approved to do my PT exercises (boo - hiss!) But, on a positive note, I'm starting to see a little improvement with my flexibility when it comes to my hamstring.

And although I can't do yoga (just yet), I can still use my beautiful Aurorae Impressions Crimson Sunset Yoga Mat  to do my PT exercises!

This is the first mat that I've had that has a design. And I have to say that I'm in love. Once again, I'm really impressed with the Aurorae yoga mat's quality.

The mat dimensions are 72" Long x 24" Wide and 5 mm Thick. It's big enough for Lil Man and I both to use it at the same time :) As you can see, Lil Man had to do a few yoga moves for me. In fact, he got to try it out before I could even sit on it! Since there aren't any standing pose exercises for me at the moment, I found the Aurorae Impressions yoga mat to be thick enough to cushion my hip/lower back as I did my PT exercises.

All in all, Lil Man and I are extremely pleased with the design (he loved the birds) and the quality of this mat. In my opinion this is a great yoga mat - oh and as an added bonus, it also came with a slip free rosin bag - score!
