Pinrose Petal Pack Review and Giveaway - 10 Winners!

Bear with me, I know this blog is mainly about fitness, nutrition, and occasionally about being a stay-at-home mom, but I got the chance to review what I think is a pretty cool product and I wanted to share it with you.

I'm not one to usually wear perfume. I have allergies, and I'm super sensitive to smells. So usually I just bypass perfume. But when I heard about Pinrose, I was intrigued. Being someone who is constantly in motion, and I know that many of you are the same way, I found this product to be very useful.

I'm talking about Pinrose, and their fragrances are in petal packs. They are perfect on-the-go packs.

And on their website they have a synesthesia test where you basically look at a series of images and they conclude from that test what they think would be your best fragrances. I found the test very interesting. However, you were supposed to go with your gut and not think too long. On one of the images I actually changed my mind and changed my mind again and basically I didn't go with my gut. And I think that might have skewed the results a little. Of the three fragrances that they sent me that they suggested, one of them I really loved, one was a no go, and the other one was so so. But I do believe that had I chosen the other photo which was actually my gut instinct I believe I would've gotten a little better results with the test. But you can also buy a sample pack of Pinrose Petal packs if you want to test out all of the fragrances.  And there were several fragrances out of the sample pack that I really liked.

I was also surprised at how well that the fragrances lasted. I simply wiped the petal on my wrist, let it dry for 15 seconds, and that's it. And by the end of the day I still had fragrance.

For someone who doesn't wear perfume, I actually liked these a lot. I'm planning on purchasing some. So I imagine that if you are really into scents and wearing perfume that you would really like Pinrose Petal packs especially if you are always on the go. I plan to stash some in my gym bag!

And guess what, 10 of you will win your very one sample pack of Pinrose Petal Packs. Enter the Giveaway Tool below.

Giveaway is open to U.S. Residents, void where prohibited. Must be 18+. Only one entrant per household, per address. Winner is subject to eligibility verification. Winner will be contacted via email and have 48 hours to respond before a new winner is chosen. Giveaway ends November 17, 2014.

Self Care Is Not Selfish It's Necessary

It's not selfish to take care of yourself. It's not selfish to take care of yourself. It's not selfish to take care of yourself. And I'll say it just one more time in case you didn't hear me. It's not selfish to take care of yourself. I have found through experience that when I'm not taking care of myself, not only do I suffer but my family suffers. So ditch the mom guilt and take the time that you need! I have a tendency to keep pushing my needs aside until I reach a breaking point. We've had a very busy fun summer so far. However, I've struggled to get some quality ' me ' time to decompress. I'll spare you the meltdown that ensued. But the reality check that followed prompted me to take action.

Running My Life

Wow, has it really been 2 years since my last post? I suppose that I allowed life to get in the way. For any faithful blog readers, I apologize. Although, I'm not sure how many people actually read blogs anymore. I think most people use other social media platforms.  (By the way, drop by and say hi on Insta. )  But for some reason, each year when I pay for my google domain, I can't seem to let it go. As silly as it sounds, this little space is mine. And lately I've been struggling with ownership and acceptance. And my domain renewal was a not so gentle reminder that I have a voice .  Seriously, you'd think by 48 that I'd have this figured out - nope - apparently not. However, I am wise enough to know that we have a choice to allow situations to harms us or make us stronger. I'm choosing to let this mid-life quandary make me stronger. And because of this, I'm setting goals, taking charge, and reexamining priorities.  Movin' on...

When The Planner In You Must Be Flexible

In case you haven’t figured this out by now, I’m a planner. I know - shocker right?!? :) So although I love substitute teaching, it’s making the planner in me anxious. And it’s been reeking havoc on my workouts. Basically the morning of or maybe the night before, I find out if I’m working. So my day ( that I thought I had planned ) can be turned upside down in an instant. But, truthfully, isn’t that really the same with everyone?
